Summer Sundae Tickets, Fringe Thursday, Wellies and bands

tickets, Fringe Thursday, Wellies and bands

If this had been any other year I would have been writing now to tell you that we were sold out. But because we are using a bigger site this year to pack in all the new treats we’ve lined up for you, we have an increased capacity. So if you’re still wavering, do come and join us – tickets will be available from the Box Office when you get here.

Put the Fringe at the centre…
What better way to limber up for the weekend than at Fringe Thursday? The gorgeous independent venture that is the Fringe has laid on no less than nine venues for you to enjoy on the night, and they’ve even sorted the transport. Headliners include Jersey Budd, Maybeshewill, Ambrose Tompkins and New Beautiful South. Plus there are great comedy, spoken word and film bills too. All that for just £4 per ticket (all the ticket money goes to Leicester and Rutland hospice, LOROS). You can buy them from De Montfort Hall and other outlets in the city tomorrow – visit www.summersundaefringe.com for more info.

Welly good idea
The kind people at Schuh are looking for your old shoes, which they will swap for a brand spanking new pair of brand name wellies (not that you’re going to need them at the weekend – hopefully). But what of your old shoes? Well they’ll be taken away and reconditioned before being sent to someone who will be very grateful to have them. Bargain! Go and visit them in the Village to find out more.

‘Got a band? Then get this….
This year’s Indoor Stage will be brought to you in association with BandCentral – The Online Band Manager. BandCentral gives bands their very own online hub, enabling you to manage everything associated with a hardworking band:- messaging, gigs, band diary, music files, fans, finances, tasks, social networks + loads more.. all in one, instantly accessible place – online.

BandCentral is revolutionising the way unsigned bands communicate, get organised and promote themselves online; and with its fantastic mix of established and talented up-and-coming artists, they are proud sponsors of the Midlands finest music festival!’ Visit www.bandcentral.com to find out more…
