Truck 2010

truck_miniad1TRUCK:

The 13th TRUCK FESTIVAL takes place at Hill Farm, Steventon on July 23rd – 25th 2010.??TRUCK is one of the UK’s best and longest standing independent small festivals (and we have an award to prove it), a village fete meets Woodstock with a cutting edge musical policy sharp as your suit, free of any sponsorship or corporate agenda. Held in family friendly, safe and secure surroundings overflowing with entertainment, it’s about music, community and being outdoors.

Founded by brothers Robin and Joe Bennett on a farm within a welly wang from their family home, TRUCK now attracts over 5,000 revellers each year.

A bit about Truck:

At TRUCK we carefully select the line-up and position the stages so people of all ages and tastes  can enjoy the festival in the way that suits them best.

Well known for a DIY attitude and for first spotting the next big thing, TRUCK has seen everyone from Ash, Supergrass and The Lemonheads to Garth Hudson, and Brian Jonestown Massacre grace its stages, with many ascendant stars such as Foals, Young Knives, Fuck Buttons, Get Cape… and Wild Beasts cutting their teeth on the smaller stages, before moving on to big things.

In 2009 The Joy Formidable, Fanfarlo, Total Science, Errors, Crystal Fighters, Ghost of Thousand, Pulled Apart By Horses, ASIWYFA, Broken Records, TEED, The XX, Frank Turner, Hot Club of Cowtown and Stornoway were amongst the diverse throng of new musicians to perform at TRUCK.

With a strong charitable ethos (the Rotary Club flip burgers and the vicar sells ice creams) the event has raised thousands for local and national causes. In 2009 truckers helped raised over £50,000 for good causes.

TRUCK-only tickets will go on sale on 13th February – both online and through our lovely local outlets.
