Where: Limburg, 134 NetherlandsThe Netherlands most famous open-air festival PINKPOP will take place for the 40th time at the beautiful festival site MEGALAND in the city of Landgraaf situated in the most South bound province of Limburg, 134 miles from Amsterdam (2 hours 45 minutes by train).
In 39 years the festival was sold out 19 times, with a capacity of 60.000 spectators. Since 1970 more than 1,5 million people visited the festival and more than 500 acts played at the Pinkpop festival.
This year..s (2009) program will be just as sensational as previous years on Saturday May 30, Sunday May 31 and Monday June 1. During these three days PINKPOP proudly presents 39 bands on three stages. The 40th edition will be shown again live on Dutch National radio and television. See for more information: www.pinkpop.nl
