The V Festival is an annual music festival in England, the first to be held simultaneously at two sites. Originally, the festival took the name of the current year, with the first festival being named “V96″. Since 2003 it has been known as simply the V Festival.

Organized by Metropolis Music and SJM Concerts, V Festival is held at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire simultaneously. V Festival sites share the same line-up, artists perform at one location on Saturday and then swap on Sunday. The ‘V’ represents the Virgin Group, with V Festival being sponsored by Virgin Media.

V Festival is back in the penultimate weekend of August on 21-22 August 2010. Kasabian and Kings of Leon will headline the V Festival UK, which takes place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire. Performers at the 15th anniversary V festival will also include Florence And The Machine, Stereophonics, Faithless, The Prodigy, Cheryl Cole, Pet Shop Boys, Madness, Editors, Mika, Groove Armada, The Charlatans, Amy Macdonald, Kate Nash, Paloma Faith, Plan B, Sugababes Paul Weller, Paolo Nutini and many more.

Early bird: £152.50 w/e with camping, £132.50 for a weekend pass. Tickets are not on sale yet…

Parking:

There is ample parking on the festival site.  Please note for both festival sites 1 campervan pitch is for a campervan, caravan or camping trailer and a maximum of 4 persons per pitch. There are no tents, cars or vans allowed in the campervan site.

Restrictions

There are to be no campfires and no glass allowed on site. No alcohol is permitted to be taken into the arena. The only containers permitted in the arena will be those carrying non alcoholic liquid in collapsible plastic, foil or cardboard forms of not more than 1 litre.

Bars

The bars are operated on a token system. Tokens are purchased from the token booths then exchanged at the bar for drinks. Some token booths will remain open for 1 hour after the bars have closed so vouchers can be redeemed.

Lockers

Lockers are situated outside the arena by Gate 3, prices are as displayed.
